Meet Dr. Silvera

Dr. Albert Silvera is passionate about dentistry.

“I am so thrilled to be a part of this wonderful profession. I love working with people; working with my hands and creating; helping people. That’s the beauty of dentistry: You get to do so many different things with each interaction! It’s never boring. The people I meet have great stories to tell – sometimes about their teeth, sometimes about other things. And I love to listen.”

Dr. Silvera graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry in 1997 and has been in private practice in West Los Angeles ever since. His expertise spans many different fields of dentistry, but his strengths are cosmetics, porcelain restorations and bonding as well as TMJ/migraine therapy.

An avid life-long learner, Dr. Silvera travels the nation consulting with the profession’s brightest minds to ensure his patients have access to the latest in cutting-edge care. His enthusiasm for, excitement about and consummate skill in moving the profession forward – and his ready embrace of technological advances – distinguishes him from his colleagues and puts him ahead of the curve.

“Technology and research are giving today’s patients a much more comfortable experience. We have burs that can often preclude the need for anesthesia. We have CAD/CAM technology that can fabricate crowns and onlays while you’re in the dental chair – eliminating the need for temporary crowns or a second visit. We have truly lifelike porcelain restorations that are four to five times stronger than they used to be, and sixth generation bonding agents that virtually eliminate the dreaded post-op sensitivity. And implants! What a revolution (and revelation!) they have been. So easy and predictable to work with. It’s hard to imagine replacing missing teeth without them.”

Technique, skill and experience are the cornerstones of Dr. Silvera’s practice. But he is equally committed to making each person feel comfortable and cared for.

“At the end of the day, I know I am not just fixing a tooth, but am caring for a person – a person who wants to be free of dental disease, and to have strong teeth and healthy gums that will last a lifetime. Helping that person achieve his or her goals is our practice’s sole focus.”
